Greetings, fellow attendants of the seventh version of CBCMUN. It is of great pleasure to direct such an extraordinary model such as this one, and having experienced the journey in which a delegate becomes president, and then director is much more fulfilling since the hard work that has been assigned to MUN is becoming more evident with each passing day. The concept of CBCMUN on a virtual platform started with an idea that seemed surreal, almost distant and hard to reach; but with our fantastic team and the support of our superiors we managed to take it to the next level and carry on the legacy of the Model United Nations despite any adversity or mishap. That is how our model became the first Virtual Model in Colombia, and If it weren’t for our staff —such as logistics, redaction and press— the concept of debating through a screen would’ve only remained as and intention rather than a project. Lastly, I’d like to thank our sponsor, the Secretary General, our staff and team, and most importantly, the delegates that are brave enough to express their thought and share their opinions, because If it weren’t for them, this would have been possible. Remember, dear attendants, that if we want to see change in society, we must act upon it since the power of change is within us.
